Ideal Company structure

We are a small company of 3 to 4 people mostly founders wearing the hats of different roles as of 2023. However, as the organization grows, it is essential to distribute the functions to different pillars.

The following is the ideal business structure with sections and sub-sections. Although it is universally applicable to physical product companies, the structure is written keeping our organization and products in mind.

After Sales

Make sure our customers are very happy

Roles & Tasks: Track improvement projects, Handle customer complaints, Handle product returns

2. Product

Production

Manage production of all the company products

Roles & Tasks: Manage and Oversee production, Production Process Improvement, Safety

Quality Control

Ensure product and service quality

Roles & Tasks: Develop quality specification, Create QA plans, Apply QC Process, Feedback and Plan quality improvements

Logistics & Storage

Handle product sourcing, inventory, storage, and districution

Roles & Tasks: Budget development, Cost analysis, Vendor Communication, Contract negotiations, Oversee pricing & stock, Maintain statistical and financial records, Build efficient inventory movement, Oversee product loading, unloading, and delivery

Design and R&D

Research, develop and Improve plans and products

Roles & Tasks: Design, Planning, Research, New Product development, Improve existing products

3. Business

Administration & Operations

Manage day to day activities, Build effective systems and processes
